Student life at DMCE is enriched by an exciting calendar of events. From technical fests like "Technitude" to the much-awaited cultural extravaganza "Milestone", the campus buzzes with activity throughout the year. These events provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents, work as a team, and develop organisational skills in real-world scenarios.

With facilities for cricket, football, volleyball, chess, and more, students actively participate in intramural and intercollegiate sports. Annual sports events bring the entire campus together in the spirit of competition and camaraderie.
Social Responsibility:
Through NSS (National Service Scheme) and other outreach programs, students at DMCE regularly engage in social initiatives — from blood donation drives and environmental awareness campaigns to education support in underprivileged communities.
Alumni Testimonials

Atharva Mathure
During my college years, some of my favorite memories were being part of various committees, where I developed strong communication skills and gained self-confidence. The friendships I made were truly the most precious part of my journey we shared unforgettable moments at college fests, hackathons, and even during vacations. A defining experience was being part of the college website development team during my internship. It gave me hands-on exposure to real-world projects, helped me build technical knowledge, and allowed me to interact closely with inspiring professors. To my juniors, I would say don’t limit yourself to just the college syllabus. Explore beyond the classroom, participate in hackathons, take initiative, and keep learning independently. Most importantly, make the most of your time enjoy the journey, create memories, and grow both professionally and personally.

My journey at Datta Meghe College of Engineering (DMCE) and the Department of Computer Engineering has been immensely enriching, both technically and professionally. The environment at DMCE has consistently fostered innovation, skill development, and a deep passion for technology. During my time here, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) as the Cyber Security Technical Lead, where I contributed to fostering a strong tech community and spreading awareness about cybersecurity practices.I actively participated in hackathons, becoming a finalist in most and securing victories in four of them. One of my proudest achievements was winning the Gen AI Hackathon, recognized as the world's largest hackathon, and being featured in the Guinness Book of World Records for this accomplishment. These achievements were possible due to the constant support and technical mentorship provided by the faculty of the Department of Computer Engineering. Their dedication and guidance have played a vital role in shaping my technical journey.DMCE has not only equipped me with a strong technical foundation but has also offered numerous opportunities to apply my skills in real-world challenges. I am truly grateful to the DMCE Principal, Head of Computer Department, faculty members, and the non-teaching staff for their continuous encouragement and unwavering support. Thank you, DMCE, for being the launchpad of my technical journey and for empowering me to push boundaries and achieve excellence.
Warm regards, Rohan Prajapati

My journey at Datta Meghe College of Engineering (DMCE) and the Department of Computer Engineering has been truly transformative. It has given me far more than just a degree—it has helped me grow as a student, leader, and individual. DMCE has always encouraged a balanced development approach by actively promoting a wide range of technical and non-technical activities, ensuring all-round growth and skill cultivation among students. From being part of NSS and the Computer Society of India (CSI) – Student Chapter at DMCE, to representing DMCE and Mumbai University at a National Integration Camp, every experience added depth to my academic and personal growth.I had the privilege of participating in multiple national-level hackathons, and most notably, winning the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) under the constant guidance and support of the faculty of the Department of Computer Engineering. I also had the opportunity to lead student teams and participate in the AICTE-facilitated IDE Bootcamp, where I explored innovation, collaboration, and leadership. All of this was made possible thanks to the encouragement and mentorship of the DMCE Principal, Head of Computer Department, faculty members, and the ever-supportive non-teaching staff, who have always been approachable, dedicated, and genuinely invested in students’ success.DMCE has given me more than just technical education it’s given me confidence, direction, and countless opportunities to rise. It’s a place where potential is recognized, nurtured, and celebrated. I am deeply grateful to the entire DMCE institution for their unwavering support, guidance, and belief in every student’s potential. Thank you for being the foundation of my success and growth.
Warm regards,

Arvind Gautam
Hello folks ,
I joined DMCE in year 2018. Recalling my first day I met wonderful people there and felt that this journey is going to be thrilling. With the experienced teacher and their openness towards students i topped in first semester and all the semester later i scored above 9 pointer I didnt join any classes because the teachers used to teach in a way i never felt need of it. The only requirement was to attend all the lectures. I participated in several events throughout my journey and it helped me to connect with other students and explore other activities other than study. The lab experiences was very helpul and we used to do it in a fun way. DMCE provided several opportunities to get the jobs or get placed into MNC. Luckily I got placed in Capgemini and it turned out to be most crucial foundation for my career. From this point i never turned back. I joined Redhat and currently I am working with ONGC giant SHELL. I am really grateful to the DMCE and all the people who played a crucial role in building up and nurturing my life. I moved to banglore after passing out. But i would love to visit the college once i am in mumbai to refresh all my memories and meet the lovely people once again.
Myself Arvind Gautam, I passed out in 2018, I belong to computer branch
Thanks once again. Special thanks to Pandey sir, Busrat mam, Archana mam, Mathew sir, Raut sir, Savarkar sir

Kajal Khairnar
My name is Kajal Khairnar, and I graduated in the year 2020. Looking back, my college days are filled with some of my favorite memories—whether it was bonding with friends, participating in college events, or staying up late to meet deadlines. College played a crucial role in shaping my career by helping me discover my strengths, build confidence, and develop the skills needed in the professional world. To current students, I would say: make the most of every opportunity, stay curious, and never stop believing in yourself—college is not just about marks, but about growth and self-discovery.

DMCE Airoli, the place where I felt like home, comfortable enough to grow out of my inhibitions about stating opinions, get over the slumber and put in the hours to work on my personality and my academics together without losing out on any one of them.
The atmosphere in the campus has always allowed students to take risks and emerge as solution providers, ready for the industry. The support provided by the Placement Cell to fetch the best opportunities for its students has just been phenomenal. I feel the perfect ingredient to connect with students is to provide a listening ear and be empathetic towards problems, and help students select career streams tailor-made for their personalities. Now, with 7 years post graduation, I can see people in quite diverse fields, from coders, to investment bankers, to youtubers, still sharing the perfect work ethic that has been deep instilled in them by the institution.
In my 4 years at DMCE, I got wonderful mentors who guided me through the whole path and pushed me to bring out the best in myself. I also got the best of buddies who have stayed with me through thick and thin, and always kept me grounded. We still revisit the time we spent in the college canteen, volunteering in the events and enjoying in the fests.
The institution has made me what I am today, and I will always be indebted to my professors and to DMCE for grooming me into a disciplined, honest and hardworking professional.
Regards,

DMCE was a transformative chapter in my life. Some of my fondest memories include late-night brainstorming sessions with friends, lively classroom discussions, and the sheer joy of discovering new interests. These experiences didn’t just create lasting friendships — they shaped the way I think and approach challenges. DMCE taught me the value of curiosity, resilience, and collaboration, all of which continue to guide my career decisions today.
To the current students: explore fearlessly, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to fail. Each setback is a stepping stone. Make the most of the resources around you — mentors, peers, and opportunities — because this is where the foundation of your future is being laid. Be open to change, stay grounded in your values, and remember that success often starts with taking the first bold step.
Wishing you all the best in your journey ahead!
