SOCHE

Student’s Organization of Chemical Engineering (SOChE) is the student’s governing body related to Chemical Engineering student’s activites initiated by department students in the year 2005. SOChE arranges industrial visit, seminars, conferences and guest lecture during the academic session. Every year SOChE plays an active participation with other student’s bodies during cultural festival and technical festival to enhance their technical knowledge and thinking ability and to encourage the extra-curricular development of the students.

IIChE Students’ chapter of DMCE works in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Mumbai Regional Centre (IIChE-MRC). A western regional level technical chemical engineering festival “Reaction-06” was conducted by IIChE-MRC and SOChE on 25th and 26th February 2006. A state level, “N. R. Kamath trophy CHEQ-2008”(Chemical Engineering Quiz Competition) in memory of late Prof.N. R. Kamath was organized in collaboration with IIChE-MRC on 1st March 2008. 8th OYCE Blast Carboblock/ Uhde India Award 2012 was organized by SOCHE and IICHE Studenrs’Chapter of DMCE on 24th March 2012. The 12th Annual Session of “Outstanding Young Chemical Engineer blast Carboblocks-Thyssenkrrup Industrial solution Award 2016” was organized by Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, (IIChE) student’s chapter of Datta Meghe college of Engineering on 26th and 27th February 2016 in the institute premises. A state level, “N. R. Kamath trophy CHEQ-2017” (Chemical Engineering Quiz Competition) in memory of late Prof. N. R. Kamath organized in collaboration with IIChE-MRC was held on 4th March 2017. A state level, “N. R. Kamath trophy CHEQ-2019” (Chemical Engineering Quiz Competition) in memory of late Prof. N. R. Kamath organized in collaboration with IIChE-MRC was held on 9th March 2019.
